Default Better Than City Court?

For the last year+ I've been wearing Nike's City Court shoes. They seem to last about 2-4 months depending upon how much I play.

My primary interests are comfort to protect my middle aged knees and stability to avoid nasty twisted ankles (I once wore my running shoes to play tennis...HUGE mistake of epic proportions.)

I need a new pair of tennis shoes and am about to buy another pair of City Courts unless someone can point me to another product which offers even more comfort and stability.

Any opinions on other options I should try at the shoe store? Cost is not an issue since I've done the knee surgery thing and that was far more expensive and time consuming! OTOH, the City Courts are less painful in price from my standard running shows (Nike Air Pegasus).

Why don't you try out the Wilson Tour Ikons in red? They're on sale for $39 with a sole warranty.

Those don't have too much support. Try the nike ballistecs, adidas barricade and asics gel resolution. See what fits the best. They're all good shoes. I personally think that the asics would be a good choice for you

There's a reason they're $39.

Thanks Mighty, read the Asic feedback based on your recommendation and they look good.

I wear a size 12 normally. Any recommendation on how Asics run in size?

I know the TW review, and many, but not all people who've bought them say to order 1/2 size smaller than normal, but I wear my regular size 11 and they feel fine. I tried a 10.5, and it was definitely too small for me. I think you really need to find a store and try them. They are a very nice shoe.
