Default Would Adidas accept my warranty claim?

Hey, i am not really clear about all these warranty claims and stuff. I brought Adidas Barricade 7's about 4 months ago and have put in over 250 hours in these shoes. The lady at my local tennis shop said that Adidas would not accept my warranty claim. Is this true?
Could someone also tell me all the details of Warranty claims such as
Price
How long does it take
Do i get the exact same shoes or can i choose another colour of the same style?

Thanks guys

If the outsole is worn though to the midsole in less then 6 months, then the shoes will be under warranty. You can get different colors but not a different model in barricade's. Price is 13.00$ for adidas if under warranty I think. It will usually take about 2-3 weeks.

Edit: Take a look at this thread. If your shoes have a hole like these ones in less then six months, you will get a new pair.

Can't tell much from the pictures, you should have a warranty claim! But look at the picture I put in the link to be sure.

You definitely will get it. It costs about 25 bucks, as you have to pay for your shipping costs then put a check in the box for shipping when they send you a new pair. I've done it twice with adidas, both times asked for a specific color, both times didn't get it. But leave a note in the box and there's a slim chance they might give you what you want, but you'll probably get another black/yellow because that color is pretty recent.

The lady at your local tennis shop is probably crazy for saying Adidas wouldn't accept those...

No. Warranty is a Manufacturer thing. Not provided by shops.

The warranty claim idea really seems to boil down to a 'two for the price of one deal' for players who hit and play hard.

It seems that people who play tennis at a high level are going to go through shoes in a month or two and will always invoke the warranty, whereas most others take a year or two.

This raises a very valid argument. For example, if you're a 5.5 player, you play singles every day about 2 hours, you put a hole in your barricades in 1 month. Is that not considered "normal" wear? I know I've gone through barricades and cb's in less than a month. So it might be that the warranty system was not developed for high level tennis players, because they're going to wear out any pair of shoes in probably less than a month.

And OP: adidas warranty can take anywhere from a week to a month.

Warranties are usually constucted so they won't be invoked because companies are satisfied their products will be trouble-free for at least that time.

Companies must fully realize that some tennis players will go through a couple of Barricades in six months so they are giving them a two for one deal.

The only thing the companies must be concerned about is people claiming a warranty on too slender a basis and thereby accelerating their invocation of the warranty.
