Thanks! Love how honest Hewitt is here, no politically correct bullsh1t. The more I hear about Nadal, the more scary I find him. The guy plays so many psychological games, very tough to play against.

Looks like he admires Nadal much more than he does Federer.

The 2 things I liked best were the comments about how hard Nadal hits in the warm up and him saying the Federer has the best backhand slice in the world if his topspin backhand is not working.

Probably because of their similar mentality. Also, apparently Federer isn't very sociable in the locker rooms. That's okay though, the GOAT doesn't need to associate himself with lesser beings like Nadal and Hewitt.

The same Nadal who has made his career out of spanking Fed on the big stage?

Thanks very much! A most illuminating interview. I like it when they talk 'behind the scenes' stuff, rather than the usual PC claptrap. Hewitt is always quite upfront. Unfortunately, I do my most watching at the AO, where the crowd and commentators are terrible and I never support the homeguy.

Federer indeed has the best slice in the world. Thanks for the good read. I didn't know Rafa and Hewitt practice a lot together. |

Federer admitted that he always felt like he had to blow Hewitt off the court early in his career. It was not until he learned to wait for his opportunities and use his slice against him that the wins started coming.

There you go...someone who played in both era's. Highest level of tennis ever, Federer, twice.

Great interview. Hewitt was such a polarising figure in his early years but nowadays all I hear is respect for him - if only Tomic had half of his work ethic.

Great interview; I've always liked Lleyton. Tomic has big shoes to fill...
