Probably because he thought, he could. Worst case, he ties off and does a two piece. He's also a first time stringer.

Oh right. I've never came around doing a 1 piece. The only time i did it was when a customer asked me to specifically do a 1 piece stringjob which got me scratching my head wondering why he would specifically ask that instead of having just any kind of stringing done on the racquet. Maybe tension maintenance? I don't know. Just never bothered with it.

i am not sure it just seemed easier but i was wrong, going to do a two piece from now on.

You're better off doing a two piece with the machine you have. If you ever upgrade to a Fixed Clamp machine, you will appriciate the Fixed Clamp machine much more.
