Default If Nadal and Djokovic are drawn for a semifinals clash at AO...

...who is the favourite? Nadal is coming off 3 consecutive wins over Djokovic hence should have the edge in confidence not to mention being absolutely physically and mentally fresh after a 6 month vacation. Will we get another 6 hour epic like last year?

Yup, no way Djoker can handle a hungry Nadal who just got a huge rest from the game.

6-4 6-3 6-1 Rafa Nadal d. Nole Djokovic

AO 2012 Djokovic v Nadal (IMO) ruined Nadal's knees.

Djokovic in 3.

Only way nadal makes the semis is if he plays all Spaniars leading up to it.

Nadal reaching the SF would be a phenomenal effort from such a layoff. I don't think it will happen.
If it does...most likely Djokovic in straights. Nadal will need some time just like it took 1 year from 2009 layoff to get his bearings on a trophy or a big top 4 win.

Nadal's road to the semis will be paved in Monacos.

Losses don't bother Djokovic, he had a poor record against Nadal when he started his 7 game winning streak.
And then even on clay he continued on.
Then at Wimbledon.

Djokovic just comes out with his game and lets the chips fall where they may.

Not a chance. Nadal will be the first man in history to win all 4 slams in straight sets in the same calendar year.

It's possible that Nadal doesn't even play the AO, so yet another one of your Nadal bashing threads fail(as they always do).

Ralph will take it to Djokovic and this time prevail in 4. The Djokovic BH won't stand up to Ralph's moonballs.

You sure in 4? Surely Rafa will prevail but with the loss of 4 points, 3 of which double faults, the other a lucky ace by Novak when Nadal turned to hear toni trying to coach him.

Why do you post this stuff?

Tough call. If Nadal actually manages to get through to the SF's (which is questionable) it means he's playing well (unless he's just reaping the benefits of yet another cake walk draw ).
Nadal surely won't have the edge due to momentum as the OP implies. Nadal's 3 wins over Djokovic was over half a year ago and on a different surface.

Djokovic has the tools to beat Nadal and vice versa. But you'd have to favour Djokovic, unless Nadal returns with this 'new and improved attacking mindset' that Moya is suggesting he will have.

If Nadal flattens his shots against Djokovic more often, he might be in a good chance.

Because Monfed believes he jinxes Nadal when he posts dumb crap like this about him. It soothes the *******itis that he is badly infected with. Lol.

The way they set up slam draws these days, it would be amazing if Nadal and Djokovic even made it to the semis. If the trend holds up, they will probably empty the Federer quarter - a couple of local Melbourne unranked highschool wildcards in the first week, then a few near-retired mugs to walk him into the semis. Meanwhile, all the top players and promising stars will get jammed into Nadal's quarter.
