Tennis shoes are made in China. I also have NB water proof walking shoes and those are made in China too. Only a few of the top running shoes are Made in USA/Assembled in USA.

NB only makes the older models (the greyish motion-controlled running/walking shoes and a few others) in the US. Used to sell them and the rep told me it's because it's a lot cheaper to modernize equipment and train/retrain workers abroad than in the US. The newer shoes are a lot more complex and are harder to make. Most of the machinery in the US factories are post WWII vintage and can't make the newer stuff

Wow, this is a huge change for NB. Their shoes have always been fantastic, but I thought as a company they were committed to NOT doing endorsements.

Realistically, their shoes are probably much better for Milos since they'll absorb more impact shock from his 6'5 frame, return more energy, and probably give his ankes better support.

I've used NB and Asics tennis shoes for years and think they're the very best choices out there.

NB picked up more no-name athletes this year, Justin Predroia, Curtis Granderson, and Miguel Cabrera. http://espn.go.com/blog/playbook/dol...to-new-balance

I'm sorry but NB tennis shoes are very ugly for the most part.

I wear NB gear on the court (shorts, a few shirts). Good stuff. As for the court shoes, they don't look very sturdy or durable. I tend to bust through the sides of shoes in the toebox before I wear through the sole.

First Stan, now Milos. Lacoste really doesn't care to have their team stick around...

Surely, you can't be serious?

Nike and adidas have most of the youth but their shoes are not the best. Fed has his modified and wears shoes totally different then the ones for sale. What does that tell you. Nike and adidas are good shoes but NB are far more comfortable. The best marketed is not always the best product. I started wearing NB last year for the first time for tennis and am very very impressed.

According to the Globe and Mail it's a complete shoe and clothing deal, and quite a lucrative one at that. New Balance is banking him being a major force in the game for the next decade.
