Not really but if that happened to Nadal he immediately would have used it as an excuse to withdraw from Indian Wells.

Yes he his. At Indian Wells he spent almost 45 min signing autographs after he practiced. He made sure everyone of the kids got his signature. Looks like the metal board hit him in the shins lol.

...leaving out the AO, where his performance easily could have landed him an Emmy.
