Slightly OT: Picture settings for tennis?

This isn't about playing equipment but viewing equipment..

Just got a new TV and am really struggling to get a good picture for tennis. All of the lines on court are blurred and you can see several "ghosts edges" for each, and the scores are so fuzzy I can hardly read them.

I know upgrading to HD will help but there's got to be some settings to improve this?

Adjust the sharpness and color brightness...sharper and less bright. Go for a "warm" color setting.

If you were watching some of the "Best of 2012" on ESPN recently, the picture quality was horrible. Looked like an old video tape from the 80s. Before you do too much to the TV, make sure you have a good source.
