Isner must live in constant fear of this seeing as he finds it so difficult to break his opponent's service games.

I wonder what else we can relate to Isner's serve...

...Cookies?

Ah, yes - cookies. Cookies are made from flour. Flour is a made from wheat. Wheat is a plant. Plants are related to trees. When Isner serves really well, some commentators have called it 'treeing' - as if Isner was serving from a tree. When he's like that he's an unstoppable force, playing big man tennis the way it is meant to be played - taking the match out of his opponent's hands. With a serve like that, Federer would have had real trouble against him.

I really appreciate Isner's hard work. Agreed he is gifted by height, but he worked a lot harder on his movement. His movement is always going up and improving. His stokes as well. He has this hunger to make big. But will be become big without born talent? That will be the big question.

When John is confident it transfers to all parts of his game! Davis Cup last year v Federer that 4th set he was crushing the return as he ran away with the set 6-2.

Just a few days till Davis Cup starts and the tennis world will get to see the huge serving and massive hitting John Isner terrorising opponents and bullying them around the court with his huge game once more!

Great news for the USA that he has back in the team to face Brazil last year he carried the USA to the Semis with amazing wins over the likes of Federer and Tsonga.

Go Big John and USA!

Only a few weeks until we can see him smashing down 149 mph aces at Indian Wells.

Lol... and to think you called ME out for being an unpaid member of Murray's team!

Seriously, it's good news for the USA that Isner is back. He's clearly their #1 player now and I'm sure he will do some serious damage to his opponents. They need him!

Excellent performance from John on his comeback! Was serving tremendously well with 32 aces!

"
If the 3,400 fans on hand thought that Querrey dominated with his serve, they were in for an even more dominant performance by Isner. The 6-foot-9 right-hander had 32 aces and 29 other serves that Alves was helpless to get back across the net.

“I always rely on my serve,” Isner said. “I wouldn’t have such a pretty good ranking if it wasn’t for my serve. I wasn’t as sharp in other facets of my game. It was certainly choppy out there at times. I littered up the stat sheet, for sure.”
