Default Very Questionable Line Calls

anyone else notice this while watching the Fed-Tomic match? there was definitely some homecourt advantage for Tomic in terms of line calls. I mean when's the last time you saw FEd win 75% of his challenges in a match?

Very suspicious that the close balls fed hit got called out but none for Tomic. These aussie linesman better stop fuc7ing with the maestro.

Did you actually watch the match? There were tons of shots from Fed that were really close to the lines and each time they were called in, but Tomic couldn't challenge because he used them all up.

haha, your joking right? really close to the lines? ie. In? And whos fault is it that big nosed Tomic used up all his challenges by incorrectly challenging? He didn't win a single challenge all match.

It was so Murray-Karlovic, I agree.

Wow, complete paranoia there. There was nothing unusual about the line calls and Fed did have some of them going in his favor.

Prove it. Federer's challenges prove some went Tomic's way. Tomic's challenges didn't prove anything.

the line calling during the start of this tournament has been pretty bad. so many correct challenges. in tomic's previous matches, tomic challenged a good number of his line calls and it seemed he was right most of time.

there we go. ALL of Tomic's challenges, I repeat ALL ALLL ALLL were wrong.

Proves nothing. The Aussie commentator was such a homer it ****ed me off when I was watching. After Tomic ran out of challenges, every other shot Fed hit close to the lines, the commentator had to say things like "oooh, that was close" or "thank god that was in because Tomic couldn't have challenged it otherwise".

although a lot of incorrect calls this tournament, this case sounds more like questionable commentating

But, what about Hewitt's match? He was 4/4, or 5/5 on calls against him in the first set?

There must be something in the Australian water, that makes lines people to:

Did you? OP is 100% correct. There were some real howlers. Not going to call bias - could have been unsighted.

Thankfully the challenge system is in place. Roger actually had one of his better nights using it.

He didn't challenge that many times that it would be unusual. Sometimes he has a good day and gets them right. On the other hand, almost all of Tomic's challenges were horrible and clearly in/out.

the linesmen/women all appear to be over the age of 40, some look to be around 60 and wear glasses...

make of that what you will
