Sitting in Murray's box today he's rocking a French Foreign Legion-inspired hat similar to what he wore in the 90s.
I know it's practical but I'd say it's highly likely a practical joke for commentators who used to be peers of his? ![]()

What a great photo... Notice Lendl's eyes looking nowhere near the ball, but rather where the ball is going.
On topic, who were the commentators? He had a lot of competition, but few peers. |

From the swing, it's an incoming ball and he hasn't made contact with the ball yet. He's not looking at where the ball is going.

Yes, it's an incoming ball, but no he's not looking at it. More common than you might think.

^ If I remember correctly, I think more players tend to not look at the ball right at the point of contact than there are that do.
Out of the current batch, Fed seems to do so the most consistently. Anyway. ![]() |
