Default Do you think Federer can achieve?

With his 4th round over Raonic, Federer reached his 35 consecutive Grand Slam quarterfinal. If he reaches two more consecutive Grand Slam quarterfinals, he will have reached more consecutive Grand Slam quarterfinals than any player, beside Jimmy Connors, reached non-consecutively in their entire career. He passed Ivan Lendl, who reached 34 Grand Slam quarterfinals in his entire career.

Do you think he can reach 7 more consecutive Grand Slam quarterfinals, which would mean he will have reached more consecutive Grand Slam quarterfinals than any player reached non-consecutive Grand Slam quarterfinals in their entire career?

Dude, Fed stand alone as the most consecutive quarters ( 35 ) then comes Novak with ( 15 ) then Ivan Lendl ( 14 ) so he has to prove nothing anymore....What you said is wrong... RF has total of 39 Quarters and Connors 41 definitely not consecutive... so he will break it 100000%... Nobody will ever break Fed consecutive record EVER... The most impressive streak in SPORTS history

You have your facts wrong. Neither Connors nor Lendl came anywhere close to 34 consecutive quarterfinals.

He's saying Fed can achieve more quarters in a row than some legends could achieve non-consecutively, throughout their whole careers

I think you misread. He's comparing consecutive for Fed vs. overall for the others.

He needs to word his second sentence differently to avoid the ambiguity in what he said. Read as is, it appears he didn't realise Connors' numbers were not consecutive - even if he did.

Yes, of course, this is what I am saying. Pretty clear.
