That poster was calling another poster a hater when that poster himself is a Rafa hater. Isn't that hypocrisy? So I replied in kind. If that hurt you, I am sorry about that.

it was kind of tacky and classless.

this wasnt even a final, show some respect for your opponent.

Stripping in a stadium is perfectly OK for a sportsman who is a role model for many? Thank God, at least in Football it serves as a warning to the player

OK but don't be nervous when someone mentions Rafa's knees as the reason for the RG 2009 loss

stripping? what kind of prude person are you?
by the way, at the olympics there is even stripping contest at the swimming stadium!

I could see that when someone was putting out or MAYBE taking of his pants but his shirt? Do you think the pro's are stripping during changeovers whilst changing their shirt?

I was replying to a troll post and replied in kind. I am not nervous about an online Tennis discussion and I also don't believe in Rafas injuries.

It's a different context. I see this as showing disrespect to the opponent.

This. How was it disrespectful to Stan ? He embraced Stan and applauded him. That he celebrated the way he did after last year's final was in fact a complement to his opponent who probably tested him more than last year's final, wasn't it ?

Don't really like the guy but I think it's a relatively normal thing to do after such a long, emotional match. I doubt the fans minded.

I'm generally against banning things.

Well I don't see it as an offense but I see no point in doing it. Do you see Fed tearing his shirt off after the 19-17 semi against Delpo in the Olympics, and that match was in the semis as well, not just a pathetic 4th round match.

Different strokes for different folks. Everyone need not be a Fed clone in the way they do things.

The poll is poorly worded. Are we voting yes/no for the sanctions or for the shirt ripping? It's ambiguous.

I don't think it should be banned, just ridiculed. It was a bit tasteless in my opinion and contradicts the ultra-defensive manner in which he played the match. I feel the same way about the bicep flexing/kissing that some of the other pushers, sorry players, do after points.

I don't think he intended to cause offense, rather was focused on being an celebrity entertainer and congratulating himself. I think it was a cheesy move, but Novak is a cheesy guy (gagnam style overuse anyone?) so it isn't out of character. This isn't WWF, I would have thought only small children would find the hulk hogan theatrics entertaining, perhaps I was wrong.

I like Novak - usually I find him to be gracious in defeat and I think he is a classy athlete who is really just out to enjoy himself most of the time, HOWEVER that shirt thing is a little 'GHEY' and a lot cheesy.

Well do you see Isner ripping his shirt off after 70-68, did you see Nadal tearing his shirt off after 9-7 in the Wimbly Final? No.

First off all, there are plenty of women in the crowd, so it's not gay. Second of all, so what if it is. There's nothing wrong with that.
