How does a 2 set match go over 5 hours?

I dont do enough of that. as far as my breathing goes, after a long exhauting point I usually try to slow my breathing down before my serve or slow my breath down before i grip again for the return of serve, that helps me relax and get ready for the next point. |

My longest match was a singles match, a 3 setter that lasted around 3:15. The scores were 4-6, 6-4, 6-1. He was an Aggressive player, and I played a counterpunch/retriever style. This was for my college's team, so unfortunately I had to get back onto the court for doubles 10 minutes after the singles match ended.
The doubles match wasn't quick either That one lasted about 2 hours (for a 6-4 7-6 win!) So after it was all said and done, I was on court for 6 hours straight for the warmup and both matches. I was reall hungry after |
