I got me these three for 120€, i felt like i was stealing. These are freaking powerful. If you own a POG mid please post your experiences with strings and tensions.

Great stick, used these for years. Strongly recommend a quality 16g synthetic gut (preferably Prince Original - not with "Duraflex") at 65 lbs. You can definitely go lower but I found that after hitting with it for an hour or so it was about as sweet as it could be - assuming you're not catching balls too far from the center of the string bed (which is why they are now gathering dust in the closet

I'm kind of surprised you find it really powerful. That is one reason I preferred the mid over the OS. I found the mid much less powerful and therefore I was able to control it more. Great access to spin for me because it felt quite light and I was able to really swing it through easily. At the same time it felt stable defending hard shots and half volleys from the baseline.
I also loved the mid at net. It just coaxed me in and I seemed to volley much better with it. Felt like a scalpel. I can't come close to that with the Precision 730, perhaps due to the extended length. I was using poly for the most part in mine. I liked Genesis Typhoon and Twisted Razor. Great access to spin but felt very comfortable for me with a pocketing quality. I like the crispness of Duraflex white but too much power and not enough spin for me. I may need to try the mid again. The 730 is phenomenal when I am hitting very well since it is a spin monster but it can tend to be a tad too powerful and I also don't like it at the net. Serves are great though.

Just as you said, a little stiff at first but after some settling in it was great...good touch and feel with power on tap. I still have one of my old 4 stripes...just might string it up for old times sake. |

Yaz - Be careful if you do! I make that mistake every so often and for the first couple of sets I'm 21 again and thinking, wow, I can actually still play this game - but reality eventually sets in . . .

With the wide open pattern I like 15L @ 58 pounds which is the mid range of the recommended 50 to 65.

I used the racket for many years. In the 90s I strung it with prince synthetic gut in the mid 60s. The last few years that I used the POG mid I was stringing it with black magic at 52lbs. Very solid racket. I preferred the 4 stripe POG and then the tour version over the other iterations.

Stringing it around 60lbs depending on conditions with NXT Max. Sweet feeling setup. If you focus on hitting the ball on the center of the strings it is as good or better than any other racket currently made.

Sweet spot isn't too bad if strung with a poly in the mid to low 40s. BHB7 16 @ 45 lbs is a spin machine. Give it a shot at least once.

Best racket I have ever used bar none and i have used em all. Feel and precision are incomparable. You get what you put in, nothing artificial or unexpected. You need to have good mechanics and the racket will do what you want it to do. I have TiMo 18 at 50lbs on mine.
