Default The landing of the golden eagle.

Even at 31 years old the king puts up fierce fighting to guys much younger than him.
Respect and we salute you. I am sorry you had to get old but you gave us a lot.

LOL. You guys kill me already holding the funeral.
Props to MAndy, but Roger took him to five, and he's six years younger.

A-Rod and JCF retired this year in great part b/c due to injuries and the like, they weren't getting into the quarters, and they, along with Hewitt (what round did he get bounced out?) are Roger's contemporaries.

By contrast, Roger is still making Slam semis.

Let the eagle wheel around a little longer. He'll let you know when he feels like he's done.

when someone like Murray beats Federer at a slam it's a joke and it's now certain that the old man is just for fun not for performance.

Considering the insane draw he got this year, no match practice, winning 2 sets and defending his AO points against the Olympic, US Open and Brisbane champion who is 6 years young than Federer and fresh out of an easy draw, is nothing to be ashamed of.

I actually liked how he was out of form yet managed to fight until there was nothing left in the tank. He had lost quite a few matches playing much better than today.

"Someone like Murray"? You mean the 2012 Wimbledon finalist, Olympic singles gold medalist, and US Open champion? That guy?

No haters in the thread, okay?

Yes, 100% correct.

He is clearly up there with Djokovic and Murray. He made a slam semifinal and won a slam just over 6 months ago.

It's not time to call it a day yet...

fun and money. he stills pulls in those obscene appearance fees. and when you stop being seen on court, corporate sponsors tend to offer less and less $$$$$
