Wise beyond her years, Sloane is fun to watch ... easy on the ears, easy on the eyes ... so not the I'll-stuff-this-ball-down-your-throat type ... rly hope she makes it to world no. 1

Q. What are your first thoughts on your first slam semifinal?
SLOANE STEPHENS: Uhm, I thought it was okay. I mean, it was definitely tough. It was a tough situation. Uhm, I did my best. I obviously didn't get the win, but I just did everything I could and came up a little bit short.
All in all it was okay.

Q. What did you think when she took the long medical break at the end?
SLOANE STEPHENS: Nothing. It's happened before. I mean, I've had in the last match, the match before, medical breaks, go to the bathroom, the whole showdown.
It was just something else, but it didn't affect anything, I don't think.

Q. We had the impression it was for her to calm herself down a bit instead of a physical problem. Was that the impression you got?
SLOANE STEPHENS: No. I mean, when you take a medical break or timeout, obviously it's for a reason. Just a normal, routine break, medical timeout.

Q. She said she felt overwhelmed, she couldn't breathe, she had chest pains. She was describing basically a panic attack. If it was nerves or not a tweaked ankle or knee, does that bother you?
SLOANE STEPHENS: No, not really. I mean, just another something else that happens. Like if it was one of my friends, I would say, Oh, my God, that sounds like a PP, which is a personal problem.
Other than that, it's just unfortunate.

Another "voice of reason" posting from LoveGame !
Keep up the good work please.

------------------------

Obviously, there is good reason why Serena pushers are suddenly sooooooooooo sensitive about Azarenka incident.
Its because, in Azarenka's behavior, they are beginning to see the image of their own hero's character, which is low and rogue.
By defending Azarenka's rotten behavior, they are trying to justify their own hero's.

As LoveGame's post shows, Stephens possesses genuinely positive and humble character traits.
Again, by putting down Stephens' character & achievement thus far, they are attempting to protect their own hero's flawed character.

Simple as that.

btw funny how Nadal pushers are joining Serena pushers on this too...

thanks, BlewByU ... rock on!

I almost felt sorry for V.Azarenka tonight in her battle with LiNa for the AO championship .... almost but not quite

sounded as if the entire stadium, except for the handful in Azarenka's box, the ones whose salaries she pays plus her bedmate BedHeadRed

Victoria Azarenka AO champion and still World No. 1
that crowd wanted The Hooter to lose ...
but I've learned tonight that she's got the skin of a rhinoceros.

Still, after having gone down a set to Li Na and only starting to come back after Li Na slipped and fell twice, hitting her head on the court in the process, Hooter was able to win only after her opponent had been injured.

If her rhinoceros skin can protect azarenka from the wishes of 15,000 spectators all rooting for her opponent ... it would seem The Hooter's gonna hoot till she stops winning tennis matches. We already know she doesn't hoot/scream during her practices with her coach, who would probly slap her upside the head if she tried it on with him!

Referring to her as "Hooter" just illustrates how childish you are...along with your piss-poor predictions about Azarenka's best days being behind her. Everything is the polar opposite of your statements.

CMON, mr. grouchy pants! you actually put any stock in anybody's "feelings" (not predictions) on this board

Seriously, you gotta learn to not take the posts on this forum so seriously.

She's a Hooter, and nobody in that stadium, nor in the match thread WANTED her to win, because nobody wants to hear her hindrance scream hoots.

BTW, did you calculate the belarus beotch's number of hindrance hoots? I wouldnt be surprised if it was a couple of those scream/hoots that actually CAUSED LiNa to fall twice during their match!
