Default Manufacturer Recommended Tension

Why do they vary from brand to brand? Generally speaking, searching for a 95-98 sq in head, 18x20 pattern, similar weight, it's curious to me that rec tension is not closer overall.

Bab 52-62
Head 48-57
Dunlop 55-65
Prince, Wilson, Pacific 50-60
Donnay 40-60 (yes forty)
PK 55-68
Yonex 45-60 (actually a 16x19 pattern, I think)

Head's high rec is around Dunlop's low rec. PK's high limit is 11-lbs more than Head. I suppose manufacturers know their product best, so they must give those numbers for a reason. Thoughts? Thanks.

(Donnay seems to be telling us: Do whatever...)
