Default Who has a better chance against Nole in the final?

Who has the better chance of beating him? Federer or Murray?

Federer - Lost in straight sets to Nole twice here, but if he brings his A game he can trouble him.

Murray - Lost to Djokovic in the final in 2011 and last year in a close 5 set match. Much younger and in better form than Federer.

There was already a thread for this but it was deleted for some reason.
Some over heated arguments possibly?

Murray I would've thought, though i'd love Federer to take the title

I'm not sure, but I think either of them have a decent chance, to be honest, unless they end their match 25-23 in the fifth or something.

I think the fanboys are getting a little excessive about the Ferrer crushing.

If Murray gets through he needs to get really angry and develop some good old fashioned Scottish hate and angst for Djokovic.
He's been far too paly with Djokovic in the past being his hitting partner in 2010 and we know where that got him at AO 2011.
He needs to hate Djokovic and the very site of him, his flat plastic hair, and his Serbian pals Troicki and Tipsarevic who keep retiring at strategic parts of tournaments to help gain their buddy an advantage.
He needs to hate Djokovic for stealing the Shanghai final 4 MPs and Rome semi match serve game with a lucky net chord.
He needs to think about how Djokovic humiliated him at the AO 2011 final and how he used Murray as a hitting partner previously to better his game and get to know Murray's and use that against him.
He needs to believe all this and Lendl is the man to instill the venom.

Fed will beat Murray and he will be in the final. However AO isnt Wimbledon and ı dont give him that much of a chance in the final.Novak form reminds me 2011 as well.

Neither has a good chance at all, but Murray has the better of the two. Probably only 20% based on Djokovic's form and his dominance on this surface though.

Get angry! Get angry NA I tells ya. Enough of this calm facade over analytical stuff.
Djokovic is King Edward the first - r*pe pillage and slaughter of Scots.
AO final is Bannockburn and time for revenge.
I'm feeling it. That's the way.

As over the top as this is, I think you're onto something. I think an under-rated edge Djokovic has over the tour is he's clearly taken the time to fraternize with most of the top players. I always see Djokovic clowning around with some other player in the locker room, or trading joke tweets etc. And it's not just his Serbian friends. Just from this tournament alone Stan and Ferrer BOTH tweeted at him good luck after he ripped their hearts out. In other words, he's taken the hate out of everyone's games, except for his main rivals, who generate hate for him more out of necessity than anything else. Well, except Federer, and even he's kind of mellowed out on that.

It's easy to say that this type of motivation is petty and shouldn't be a deciding factor, but every last advantage/edge helps.

My first post is slightly less over the top.
I thought at the time late 2010 how naive Murray was paling around and hitting with Djokovic when Murray was the more in form and likely player to dominate. He'd beaten Djokovic in 3 consecutive Masters finals and had the edge but still should have recognised Djokovic was a big threat and needed eliminating.
Very naive of Murray. Lendl would never have allowed that nonsense.

Liberman Navirtitova tactics: Kill Novak

Hoping Roger or Murray wins the event...Preferably Roger. Novak and Azarenka...the classless champions should not win.

To be honest I can imagine Djokovic is a really nice guy and a lot of fun in private and it must be hard to develop a dislike and motivation to "kill".
You would really have to keep your distance so as not to be trapped in his spell.
Lendl did criticise Murray for being too close.

Gilbert & P. Mac said the AO plays faster than the outside courts of the US Open. Fed has said the AO courts are playing 10% faster this year. So...maybe they are no longer slow?
