If Murray hesitated, that's well within his rights and I'd say pretty normal when a ball lands on the line or close to it. If it affected Fed's concentration, I don't think it's because Murray deliberately tried to throw him off.

Murray had it right. Fed fired himself up with that moment and raised his game. They can take it as big boys. I just wish Murray was more gentlemanly at the handshake but that's a minor thing.

Federer was lucky to win 2 sets. it should have been a straight set demolition. but sometimes players do get lucky and fed was able to eke out 2 sets he shold have lost.

Come on I'm the biggest Fed fan, Murray played great, he AIMED for the lines and got it. Fed just played tired, unforced errors and no serve, that's why he lost.

I think the high level of tennis Murray was playing is starting to get to Federer. Especially after their last few important matches against one another (Wimbledon, Olympics, etc...). It must be annoying for him to have another player who will test his tennis and threaten him at slams. It means he has to raise his level of tennis yet again. So you start to see the competitive side of Roger, it's not always pretty.

Still, it's amusing how puritanical people are about this, as if we don't know what goes through one's mind during a tennis match, or that we haven't heard these words on court before.

Question: What will happen when Murray eventually tries to Roger with the tennis ball at the net, Lendl style?!
