Fed was playing probably the worst I have EVER seen him play in a grand slam semi-final.
Not only that he was obviously still drained from the Tsonga match. Oh did I mention, Fed is 31, wayyyyyyy past his prime and statistically served about as bad as he ever has, and had one of his worst ever winners to unforced errors ratios. And the old man still took Murray to 5 sets.... LMAO Great fighting spirit by Fed, but to anyone who thinks Murray has a cahnce of winning even a set in the final, I'm sorry to disappoint you. Congrats Djokovic |

That's meaningless. Federer played mediocre at the US Open in 2011 and took Djokovic 2.0 to his limits.
Federer even at his worst is still good enough to push the likes of Murray and Djokovic to 5 sets. It doesn't make Murray or Djokovic bad players. Just means Federer is a once in a lifetime player with great talent. |

Im getting fed up of people thinking 31 is "OLD" you're talking about one of the best players to play the game of tennis and the world number 5 (4 technically) Ferrer is 30, noone ever refers to him as old.
Murray outplayed him. He didnt play bad, he made Murray work hard but he was up to the task of chasing down 90% of Federer's usual winners and his serving was outstanding and Federer couldnt cope with it most of the time.

Ferrer is peaking now, whereas Fed's last truly great year was 2007.

Still can't say for sure who would win. Djokovic was taken to a much more intense 5th set by Stanislas Wawrinka.

I also think Murray can win, he looked very good today from what I saw (didn't get to watch the whole match) and was returning and serving HUGE. He looks to have bulked up even more physically (by far the most muscular member of the top 4 now) and its showing in his serve and groundstrokes when he really lays into them, straight up overpowering Federer many times (and he can do the same to Djokovic). The only problem is mental, he choked a few big moments against Federer and could have probably finished that match in straight sets. But physically I don't see anyone beating him on a hard court right now, he looked pretty unstoppable in patches to me.

Anyone who believes that Murray is awful after watching that match should have their tennis watching privileges revoked.

I hope Murray wins, soo sick of Djokervic and his whole "I'm invincible" swag he has about him, sure he claps for players when they hit winners (only if his winning) he clapped for fed at Us Open 09' semi, only because he knew he was about to lose, I see him as being somewhat of a falsely modest person, or maybe I dislike because his just that good lol
I hope the final will be a good one, rooting for Murray because he never really acts like his all that good on court, and he acts human, gets ****ed when he hits errors, even if his winning, I'll dislike him if he rips his shirt off lol |
