Laver won around 10 or 12 pro slams, thus his account increases.

Federer was not deprived slam titles like Rod was for 6 years.Pros being banned from amateur slams.

Laver only won 8 pro majors, which is equivalent to the modern WTF, but not the modern slams.

But Laver gets to play the pro majors. If he decided not to turned pro, then he can compete the amateur slams, but not the pro majors. Take your pick. And if he was an amateur, and lets be nice and assumed that he would have won a few amateur slams, he would be another Emerson, which hurts his legacy for not turning pro.

No one has to agree with the "experienced" posters all the time though. Especially since in some cases they are obvious fans of a certain player (BobbyOne = Rosewall, Dan Lobb = Hoad) and they do everything to boost the status of that player. It's no different to what TMF does with Federer.

TMF: Admit it, you wouldn't agree with the Tennis Channel list if it didn't have Federer @ No 1.

Yeah, but at least I would never trashed them or insult their knowledge.

..and which credit do you personally have to assimilate Pro Slams to WTF of current tennis?

And 8 pros + 11 ams make 19...

I am very fortunate to have watched top tennis in the 70īs and 80īs ( and some 90īs, too)...so I have the possibility to have MANY favourites.from Hoad to Sampras.I can tell you 15 or 20 names.

Kodes, it is just that he is so unknown and underrated for a champion of his stature...

And, yes, when he was able to play some kind of all round tennis, many years ago,I also respected Federer.
