How to measure handle size?

Specifically, I have a 1/2 grip size and I'm not playing with grip, but just Tourna Grip tape (don't ask).

Does anyone know what my grip size really is (unless it's still 1/2 + the grip), and if so, how can you tell?

Get a piece of string, wrap it around the centre of the grip, not where it tapers in, mark the point where the string meets itself, then measure that length in inches.

Youve probably taken it down to a 4 1/4.
