Default Ferrer/Murray - I've had enough

Why not give these guys two ping pong paddles? That would be more entertaining.

I turned off the match after I saw both Murray and Ferrer retreat to the baseline after a high bouncing mid court put away. Sad day for tennis fans.

You should be happy that the next event on the top players' calendars is Monte Carlo 2013. And Monte Carlo 2013 features RAFAEL NADAL, on CLAY, the most exhilarating combination in sporting history.

I'm pretty sure you're the only one who cares that much.

What's even more baffling is how Ferrer decides to be pusher against the top 4. Is that all he can do? No one can outpush the top 4... no one.. it's like hes not trying to win

Definitely not a good looking tennis match what so ever! Murray's not looking like the more aggressive player he was last season. All the other members of the big 4 would be destroying and dismantling Ferrer. The guy has NO weapons other than playing defense. It looks like a WTA match at this point as no one can hold serve. Both of these guys don't have the confidence to flatten out the ball and go for a winner.

I agree with OP. Absolute disgrace. Horrible tennis. I feel physically sick. Ferrer isn't playing well either.

what pushing?

ferrer was very aggressive the first two set... both in terms of going for pace as well as in terms of coming into the court more (not at the net though).

now he seems tired (almost cramping) and is using more aggressive shot selection, going for low % shots. going for more on his 2nd serve.

Agreed, Ferrer was playing as aggressively as he could off the ground, dictating with the forehand etc. These guys don't come in off of maybes for a reason, they don't want to get burned coming in at the wrong time.

This is just a bad, bad match. The lack of ability to hold serve from a tall Andy Murray is a joke. Murray's short comings are well apparent in this match. His unwillingness to play aggressive tennis against a guy a foot shorter than him is really weak.

Yea Tennis has devolved into "Who can make the most errors".

Read a great article yesterday about how there was diversity, broad diversity in Tennis, super fast courts, slow courts, now all are slow, great for advertisers, horrible for Tennis.

Federer said "People complain that they don't get to see enough net play, if they keep this up they'll get none". Since when is tennis only behind the baseline? BORING.

Roddick after miami final
Conditions too slow...Guys dying playing 3 sets. So slow. Makes it impossible to hit winners which results in messed up winners/errors ratio

They can't play aggressive. The courts are so slow the risk/reward isn't worth it, IMO.
