Default Is a stiff string better to use on a flexy racquet

I have an OS with a flex of 57.
Have been using Gosen 17 micro. strung at 60.
When I go out and hit after newly strung it feels very boardy.
As a rule, are you better off using a softer string with a flex OS Racket

There is no rule. Just do what works best for you. Takes a little experimentation and court time before you find the money setup.

no rule for a flexy OS racquet or any racquet for that matter.....it's all a matter of want you want..... if you want less power and a more board-like feel, use stiffer strings.... if you want more power and a softer pocketing feel, use softer strings....

from there you increase or decrease the tension in small (2-3 lb) increments to fine tune the feel you are looking for/desire.

Any freshly strung string job can feel boardy.

I just came back from playing a 95 head, 63 flex, same Gosen 17 micro, freshly strung at 52, and it also felt boardy at the start.

After a half hour of "string torture", things softened out and it played better.
