Default Djokovic 2013 versus Djokovic 2012

Is Novak's level of tennis in 2013 so far much higher than in early 2012?

I think his serve is far, far better.

djokovic 2013 > djokovic 2012..the pressure of following up his monster 2011 season is now off..

his 2012 season was a good follow up year (1 major, 2 finals, 1 semi, 3 masters, wins WTF, world no1 rank back & YE no1).

in 2013 his is on auto pilot where he has the confidence fitness, game, and motivation to stay at the summit..and like you said maybe improve bits of his game here and there...catch him if you can (as the 'dave clark five' almost said).

I expect this year to be a stronger year from Djokovic. I expect him to play more freely. He had a lot fo success at the net versus Murray hopefully he'll continue to shorten points. He has the weapons to be really aggressive hopefully that's what we'll see this year. I'm hoping he has a really strong clay season, fed up of Nadal winning everything in sight during the clay season...

His serve is better. I feel like his return game has already peaked.

Can't think of any other way of articulating it, but he's become more bendy and strechy this year, just get's everything back on hardcourt, serves looking good too.

In 2012 Djokovic lost 5 sets. In 2013 he lost 4

Didn't lost serve in SF and F against Ferrer and Murray

So Federer in 2013 > Federer in 2012? He won 2 sets in the semifinal this year!

He got broken 7 times() against Wawrinka and should have lost that match.

He did. The lines-call sent him to the next round.

Wawrinka was in great form, didn't lost a set in first 3 matches, Djokovic destroyed Ferrer this year, last year he was not so convincing against him. And Djokovic almost lost to Murray in 2012

Any player can have a bad night, but yea it wasn't that Novak played bad, but rather Wawa kicked his butt!

That was the best match I ever saw, ever. It was like Wawa's backhand was just crushing Novak the whole time and Novak couldn't do anything about it, he had no answer, and yea, Wawa won more games, came down to one point, so Novak DID WIN, but he also lost

I agree, if some player plays the match of his life and you still win in the end, it shows that you are in good form
