Default Why is Ralph getting so much flak?

Look, Ralph likes clay and wanted to make a comeback on his favourite surface, so why not cut him some slack?

I don't get all this silent ban talk when all Ralph wants to do is overtake Fed's slam count and if he uses a little gamesmanship here and there and prefers to only play on clay and win only RG till he turns 40,why not just let him?

It's a good sign. If he would stop getting attention it would mean he would have lost significance.

That's not going to happen by just winning French Opens.

You are right, but we don't know that he will only go on to win FO's, too early to tell.

French Open + Wimbledon each year is a done deal for a healthy Nadal. And unfortunately for you, Nadal is being a lot more cautious about his health from now on.

I say let the guy play, and let his racquet do the talking. When he is playing good tennis, it adds that extra demension to the tournament. The big four have that ability, and it creates potential epic battles.

While I don't think Nadal is done winning slams, not by a long shot. IMO, he's got at least a few RGs left in him, Djokovic will continue to remain his main obstacle, Murray has vastly improved over the past year, and then there is always a guy waiting to 'ROSOL' him at Wimbledon.

Either way, I am glad he is back.

Wimbledon? hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Only if he can have on-court coaching like the ladies have in the WTA. Then maybe your baby can win a few. But I highly doubt it.

But he might get some more plates for his collection...

He has enough runner-up plates to use them as dinnerware.

The problem with Wimbledon now for Rafa is quite simple. If it rains during his match, which more than likely will happen, considering the weather, and he goes up against a guy who can belt the ball, in an indoor environment...well, we all saw what happened when 100 ranked opponent got him under the closed roof.

So how much slack do you want us to cut him. There's only so much in the universe. Any more we cut, and there won't be enough critical mass for the universe to coalesce again. We haturz are trying to save the univurz by hatin' Rafa.

Murray and Djokovic are both capable of matching Nadal on grass; especially Murray, who will be more confident than ever if he were to face rafa there.

FO is the only major rafa could be considered a favorite for. He's not making 17 majors. I'm sorry but that's just the way it is.

The guy has been off for 8 months or so, do people expect him to come back and dominate guys like Nole and Murray with that much time off.

I agree, way to much flak is being thrown at the guy. I would expect anyone to take it easy with some rinky dink tournaments upon a long layoff and not just jump into Masters events and slams right off the bat

its a bit ironic calling for people to respect rafa when you go around calling him...

..Ralph.

A "done deal" at Wimbledon? Really? Did I miss the memo of him being injured ini 2011, not to mention he's won there only twice? And, btw, are you now contending that he was injured when he got beaten by # 100 there? When BP is injured, he loses, and when he loses, he's injured. When you got the one, you got the other, is that it?
