Plays like focus hex 1.18 with a tiny bit more feel but dies in 5hrs instead of 8-10hrs. I didn't notice any extra spin.
Hex has a break in period of about 45min-1hr and becomes very soft towards the last hr before going dead. Since 1.10 dies in 5hrs it feels like the characteristics are constantly changing. Go for the 1.18 1.18 has good spin but not on the level of cyclone or tb, slightly above average control but very low on feel and feedback.

I have only played with the MSV Focus Hex 1.18 and 1.23. I notice in both instances that it needs about 30-60 min break-in until it goes from crisp to soft. Then it starts pocketing the ball really well. The 1.18 produced more spin, less power, and less durability. MSV is one of my favorite strings...less spin than Black Widow, more spin than Black Code. The stiffness is also in between those strings. I would suspect that the 1.10 would be even less durable and pocket the ball less than the thicker gauges.

Genesis solved all of the negatives listed above with Hexonic 1.09.

Agreed that the Genesis Hexonic is very similar to MSV Focus Hex. It doesn't have the break-in time. It is a smidge stiffer and less pocketing, but if I didn't know which string was which, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference after that initial break-in time.

Hmmmm. Im using focus hex soft at 1.15. Im in the break in period but I love the pocketability of the old 17l focus hex setup. Hopefully this is the same or does the effect decrease?
