Default I think ive been sold a fake

Ive bought a used head radical flexpoint off **** and im 90% sure its fake but could with some other opinions

the paint seems different, the writing on it seems smaller, the ''liquidmetal'' bit is on opposite sides, the silver bits seem less pronounced

this is comparing it to the one i have and know is real

it was an **** shop i bought it from and i checked them out thoroughly before buying and the racket is used with the usual wearing so i dont believe they thought it was a fake

im still unsure but the signs are there

any help would be massively appreciated

Don't bother with "two more details"...post pictures...verbal descriptions do not help

It looks like you may have bought a junior version. The racket in question looks shorter. They didn't make fake flexpoints. Wasn't worth counter fitting.

My understanding is if it's a fake it won't have pallets under the grip but will be a foam type handle so you can look there.

Hard to say based on the pics.

The usual tells of fakes:

Weight
Balance
Length
Head Size
Flex
Grommets
String Pattern/Spacing
Presence or Absence of Removable Pallets (on Head)
Butt Caps

Slight cosmetic/labeling differences are not unheard in rackets produced a year or months apart.

I would peel off the grip and see if it has head pallets. If so, it is most likely genuine.
You can also compare the above criteria against your known genuine racket and see how much difference there is.
Some minor variation in normal; pronounced variation is not.

If it proves to be fake in your opinion, contact the seller and ask him to take it back. His return policy should be stated in the ad.

I was also thinking that there would be no fake flexpoints...seems flexpointless...pun intended

it feels lighter than my original but more balanced

my coach has no idea and the racket does not feel cheap though the paint used on it is different

i didnt really think it would be possible to fake a flexpoint though. Im going to take up the issue with the seller

Do they play similarly? Just pick up a ruler and measure both racquets in case. Grab a scale and weigh the 2 racquets. Peel off the replacement grip and check the pallet. Open up the trapdoor on both racquets. I'm pretty sure all of this would take less than 5 minutes to do. It would be a well spent 5 minutes as well if your really worried....

Just unwrap the top of the grip. If it's a two piece pallet you have a real racquet and you won't affect anything.

You can take off the trapdoor at least. Look inside both racquets. Use a flat head screwdriver and just pry it off. It shouldn't leave any marks.

Maybe this is a re-issue? From a batch produced after the Flexpoint series was replaced by the MicroGels?
- I recently ordered a re-issues LiquidMetal Radical, and while I never saw any of the original LM series rackets, I can hardly believe that the finish would have been so poor when they were the current series. And by that I mean poorly finished paint and off-centered graphics etc.

As an addition: I noticed that my MicroGel Prestiges (MP and Pro) and my MG Radical Pro have "Head" on the beam, but my MG Radical MP has "Head (R)" (for "registered trademark").
- Is it possible that this change was only inserted after production of the original MG series had stopped?
If so, that may also be a valid explanation for the observed differences between your Flexpoints.
