Hey Jay,
Just wanted to ask if you guys over at TW had some trouble with the top side bumper guard sticking out. For me, its been happening on one side, but it's been fine on the other side. Same with you guys?

For the Play Testers- which string or strings were used for the play test? Which did you find best or optimal for this racquet? Thanks in advance.

They outright lied in the review. Djoker did NOT use this frame to win the AO.

Obviously, you can't trust TW reviews.

He did win the AO with a racquet called the speed pro so it's the truth at some level.

And if we are talking the real Djoko racquet then who would really want to play with a frame that heavy and with that swingweight as it's not the actual frame that constitutes his racquet, but the customised actual frame.

... Djokovic won AO because he's Djokovic, not because of some magic racquet...

Yes, well, apparently people identify with their heroes so for some the racquet is magic.

Racquets should actually come with free masterclass lessons.

Not the topic of the thread.

Looks like even retailers have FanBois!!!!!

The stupidity here on TT explains an awful lot about human history.

1. Corporation/Politician A tells obvious lie

2. Idiots deny the reality that their favorite Corporation/Politician just told an obvious lie.

Here's a reality check: if they're willing to go this far they're definitely lying about other stuff.

Wonder how many of us bought used frames from TW sold as new?

Don't make acqusations of things for which you have no proof. Djokovic not using the racquet he endorses may be verifiable, but these other things you speak of are just pure speculation.

The only thing I don't like about the racquet is that some people say the shared grommets are causing the grommet strip to lift off the frame, so I am not impressed.

I have to agree that they're lying. It's a simple fact and i'm surprised that everyone is ok with it.
Very loyal customers here at TT.

A lot of rackets have recently scored really high.

I think that the playtesters are basically honest. Some rackets do get low scores.

On one hand

"The new Head Graphene Speed Pro passed the test of world No. 1 Novak Djokovic, as he just won the 2013 Australian Open with it as we write this, but we really wanted to know how it would perform for us mere mortals."

Is pure BS.

On the other hand no one makes awesome racket reviews and contributes to tennis enthusiast community like TW, remaining 99% of this review is just another example.

I'd say rackets did get better over time....having said that, this review does seem a bit inflated IMO in a sense that it downplays the somewhat unpleasant and buzzy feel of this frame and overplays stability, as it's a bit flimsy without lead.

I do like this racket a lot and I'm hitting with it right now, but I do see how a lot of people would find it's not quite as great as the review makes it out to be.

The legal term for BS is 'puffery': obvious nonsense that the law should not penalize.
