Question Need a new pair -- suggestions?

So my current pair of shoes have been in need of replacing since a few months ago, but I have no idea which direction to go in next. Was hoping some of you guys might have some suggestions.

Ever since I tried K-Swiss, I've been hooked and haven't looked back. These have been my last 2 pairs since 2001 (to the best of my memory) or so:

http://www.amazon.com/K-Swiss-Defier...k-swiss+tennis

They've been amazingly comfortable, and decently durable, for my 4.0 - 4.5 hard court game. However, when I went into my local tennis shop to check out the latest K-Swiss offerings last October, I wasn't at all impressed by the newer K-Swiss models at the time.

Since I've been wearing K-Swiss the last few years, my knowledge and familiarity of other brands is minimal. Back in the late 90s, I wore Wilson and Nike, but those tended to wear out pretty quickly. Obviously build quality/technology has changed since then, so I'm curious to know what you would recommend.

Thanks in advance!

try the barricades! I have worn the 'cades in every match I've played since the Vs were making way to the 6s. I have owned a pair of 2.3 and 3.3 shoes, cage IIs, 2k10s and none of them have compared to the durability and traction of the barricade. Its got just enough traction to stop on a dime, and just enough give to slide out of your shots on a hard court to save those legs in a long three setter! Alothough I will admit that the 2.3 were more comfortable than my barricades, The 7 is the best version Ive had.

never played with these, but I tried them on, I think it was the 2s. All I know is my several pairs of barricades took me through 4 years of high school singles and doubles of picking up odd dirtballs and generally unorthodox spins. Most of which were awful players and was a beat down, but none the less frustrating to cope with as compared to club juniors. With my 6s, I would always go through the plastic on the sides of the shoes from picking up low dirt balls, I cam off the court one day with bloody sides of my feet, because I wore a hole in them. Other than that I loved them.

I don't know, the Nike Vapor (previous model) don't last long for me, I'm heavy and move aggresivelly enough. They lose support pretty fast.

I stick with Rafa's Nike CrossCourt Ballistec's (fast and flexible enough, more so then Barricades VI imho).

Asics I use for walking

Any opinions on the Babolat SFX? Been reading some favorable reviews on it.

Well, are you either:

a) A very light person? I weigh 100 kgs.

b) Rich? To be able to replace the Vapors say each two weeks if you are heavy?
