Question Fedal H2H

How it will end?

I'd say 26-13 for Nadal, 10-2 in GS

There is no way they play another 10 times when since 2008 they barely play twice a year. That would mean Federer will play for another 5 years which he won't.

You might be right, Nadal will play more on clay in the future, with Federer is vice versa...

I honestly don't get what's so important about h2h records. It's useful for predicting matches and to discuss matchups, but that's it. The record in itself isn't important, winning tournaments is.

Fedal Bakery H2H:

Bagels - Fed leads 3 to 1

Breadsticks - all square at 4 each

Nad missed a big chance to make a statement in the bakery yesterday. He will definitely end the series leading the breadstick stakes, but I think the bagel score will remain as is.

Any evidence for this assertion?

Considering that Federer has only been bagelled once in the 21st century, that's some achievement.

I honestly don't get what's so important about QF streaks in GS. The streak in itself isn't important, winning tournaments is.

I will tell you why QF streak in GS is more important.

Any player can have a positive H2H or a good H2H against any other player. But not many players can claim to make major QF for 9 years at a stretch.

Is this hard to understand ?

No, that's wrong.

Not any player can have a positive H2H against any other player, specially not when you are the so called "GOAT", specially not after 30 matches.

Of course some average players can have a positive H2H against a top player, but it will never be a 18-10 or a 14-19 or a big amount of matches.
It could be something more like 4-3 , 3-1 , 5-3

If you play 30+ matches against someone and you are considered "best of all times" you'd better dont lose most of these matches, or people will start to think maybe you are not really that good

Best of all times or GOAT is a direct measure of weeks at No 1 and number of majors and titles won.. There is clearly 1 man and no one else is close.

There is no end to H2H argument. Even if Fed had 19-10 over Nadal , I am sure ******** would say 10 losses to a player is shameful and not acceptable for a 'GOAT' player.

if Nadal comes close to 15 majors, he definitely can then be measured on par with Fed. But now he is not yet there.

Fed has at least 5 finals in each of the majors.. It is impossible for anyone else to achieve this.

I can buy the number of majors argument.

But the number of weeks at No1 only points out consistency or lack of injuries or weak-era. You can be No1 without getting more than one major a season if you are reaching the final stages of the tournaments and there is no other player in GOD-Mode e.g Federer06, Nadal10 or Nole11.

Number of major is something undisputed, number of weeks at No1 is not
