If you want pickup matches, just so you know, although the Outrigger has closed, Island Slice is still open.

Thanks. I assume that is a resort? How do you arrange a match? First time to the Big Island. Usually go to Maui.

From there you are just a bit south of midway from Keauhou (where Island Slice, a tennis instruction business) is, to the big resorts on the Kohala coast. The latter will have more total courts and probably more total tennis tourists.

Have never seen nor heard of any, all the courts I know about are associated w/ resorts and as such are hard (ie low maintenance).

Waikaloa had a grass court, but that was years ago. Not sure if it's still there. Don't recall any clay courts, but then again, i'm not the resort type.
