Default Does the index finger a role in WW forehand ?

hitting a forehand with a SW grip, sometime i have the feeling to drive the raquet by the inside of the index finger positioned as a hook... both as i drop back the raquet head then when as i recall the raquet head towards the contact zone.

The result of the shot is good ( sometime very good), but i would like to know if it is a normal feeling ...

Sounds like you are using too much wrist. Using the index finger is just another way of saying 'pronate' jut like one would say to use the wrist.

The shot you are describing sounds like that spinny shot one would do on half volley shots or low ones.

Example on 0:49

I wouldn't say there should be an active movement, but spreading the fingers seems to improve support and feel, at least for me. Just make sure you're not choked up on the racquet.

Kinda a feel cruch.
Kinda like a 1hbh where your thumb behind the racketface tells you where the grip should be.
Either, it's a short lived feeling to look for.

Yeah, it's all normal before it feels like you're hurting your wrist
