Quite right, about 6 ladies who could win it. As a contest, more interesting than the men's game right now.

romeo8880 with the jinx!!

haha... seriously though. Errani seems to have a way of getting her opponents to implode. is it the junkballing or just the constant retrieving?

Please compose yourself and dominate this 3rd set Petra. Cannot deal with you losing to Sara errani.

Kvitova rediscovers her GOAT mode. Up 4-1.

Missed this one as was at a wedding. I gather Kvit continued her good form with a blip in the middle (as per)?

yeah.. a set long blip caused by errani serving an volleying!

Kvitova shoudl add serve and volley to her arsenal. i can see it hurting a lot of players and would give her something to fall back on when her groundstrokes are going long.

Yep. I'd also like to see her develop a well disguised drop shot when her opponents are standing so far back from her vicious ground strokes.

i didn't either one won would win the french, but duncan said she(vika) wouldn't lose another match. i just pointed out i could name 5 potential loses.

and as far as wimbledon goes, serena has won 3 of the last 4, made the final of 4 out of the 5 and made the qf in her 2nd tourney back from a year long injury.

at the us, since 2008 she has made at least the semis when she has played and won twice. the only thing stopping her for a little while was the line judge controversy but after winning last year that is all behind her now.

everyone has a fighting chance but serena to me controls the draw....and vika is dangerous on hc but falls to the pack everywhere else but she is improving.

Worth noting my tongue was well in cheek, but we shall see. She's begun the year well, that my was veiled point.

Anyway, massive congrats to Petra for her 8th career title (from memory?), only a week until IW!

It's her 10th title. It would be great if she's turned a corner and is ready to join the fight with Serena, Azarenka and Sharapova. We need the Big 4 in women's tennis just like they have on the men's side.

Yeah, that'd be superb. Need Petra to keep her game consistent and Maria to raise her game against Serena and we'll have a very competitive field at the top.
