Default ZR1000 Casio for super slo motion shout out to Chas

Hey Chas, have you investigated this model at all?

Does it have the coveted manual adjustment for high speed filming of strokes?

I looked on the net and can't find anything.

The ZR1000 user's manual is now available from Casio. I followed the ZR100, ZR200 and ZR300 and to my knowledge those do not have manual shutter speed control as indicated in the manuals and discussed on other forums. I've posted some of the information on the internet but not on the newer ZR1000.

Another older Casio camera, the Casio FC150, apparently can set very fast shutter speeds if you press the "HS" button - that info according to Greg G in another thread. It produces excellent videos with small motion blur for tennis stroke analysis. It is an older Casio model that I believe is no longer offered from Casio new.

There are some less expensive cameras with AUTO that will choose very fast shutter speeds in bright direct sunlight. Some of them were recently discussed on the golfwrx Casio Camera Thread.

I am not able to tell how these cameras function regarding shutter speed. I don't think that you will find that information in their manuals.

I look for videos of golf swing taken from the side. I look at motion blur of the golf shaft, head and ball to evaluate.

Can you find any golf swing high speed videos using the Casio ZR1000?

A word of caution: check the manual carefully.
I bought a camcorder for HS shooting, and it turns out that when doing so, it drops the resolution to 56x36 pixels ( --> the size of a postage stamp!), and it can only do it in bursts of 3 sec! This was laughable. Of course, nothing of this was mentioned on the adds, advetizing that camcorder as capturing the ballon puncture for science projects! It was JVC.
Forgot the number already. I had returned it long time ago.
I remember that being the best of the crop about a year ago.
I since then reached a conclustion that prosumer electronics is not ready for these sorts of things yet.

Haven't found info on the shutter speed yet. But I learned it has on board wifi and jvc put out a coaches app for ios and android! For use with this camcorder.
