Just as many of them won't wear leather, they tend to avoid any unnecessary use of animals. If you consider drinking milk too exploitative, you're unlikely to use an animals intestines.

They will prolly tell ya that synthetic gut is just as good. Um... have you ever eaten a vegan chocolate cake? Yea, it's ok but definitely not as good.

I was watching a vegan chef on a cooking show and she whipped out some "vegan honey" to use in a dish, as some vegans consider consuming honey to be an exploitation of bees. It was something like a blend of corn syrup, maple syrup and lemon juice.

PETA? Does that stand for People for the Eating of Tasty Animals?

But that's exploitation of crops!

Wasn't Fed given a cow after he won Wimbledon (07..??) ? Did he ever barbecue it?

Agreed, look at my username

Tried being vegetarian for a little while(mostly because my coach wanted me to get a little more slimmer), hated everyday of that month. I went on a straight meat eating binge after the month had ended.

I find the term “pet/pat the dog” when describing fh technique is an unnecessary animal exploitation. Every dog I know is offended by it.

People go vegetarian/vegan for different reasons. I have a friend who doesn't eat meat, dairy, or eggs due to the health/hygiene issues with how the animals are raised, slaughtered, etc. in but she has no problem at all with leather shoes or purses because that's not going into your body.

I think it depends. For a flat hitter who does not break strings I would not mind. For a topspin hiiter like me I could think of not using gut but I am not in that dilemma as I am using soft copoly in am arm friendly non- animal racket.
