I currently play with the Wilson six one 95, which weights around 354 grams. And I'm very tempted by the six one TEAM (around 310 strung, and a bit more flexible). I'd like to swing a lighter racquet, but I'm not sure about stability. I was wondering if any of you 4.0 and above players were using it, and what were your thoughts? Do you think it is too light for playing against a 5.0 opponent with a big serve, for example? Thanks.
Also, do you know any pros or college players who play with this racquet? |

You sure can use it! But you will need lead.
One of its better attributes is it has a classic shape, with a bit of added power. So lead it up (a bit in the head a bit in the handle) and you have a 325g stick that can pack a punch. But in it's stock weight, if you are not hitting the middle of the strings against a 5.0 player than you will likely get pushed around.

This is a racquet that i myself used. I used a K 6.1 Team leaded up and it served me very well. It is also a damn comfy stick

I have been demoing one and have decided to change to the six one team, for my game it works very well. I like it much better than the regular version, the team has much better control over the heavier model.
The team is pretty stable for a racket that light, great feel and very good spin. But most of all excellent control, this racket is made to swing freely with. I have tried it with 3 different string jobs and they all played well, last one was with volkl cyclone 17 gauge at 60 lbs. and it played excellent.

It's really different to the 95, actually a good frame, i made mine more headlight and liked it a lot, then my sis in law decided it was too nice for me to use and took it off for herself.I played against county players with it and it held it's own.But as i say at the start a very different feel to the 95.

I thought that I would have to add weight to the head and the handle, because it would seem like only adding to the handle would give it less power and plow through.

The K Six-One Team was pleasant to use but inevitably I always go back to the heavier rackets for the stability and plow-thru - they are the factors most critical to me, rather than a lighter swingweight. The Amplifeel 95's narrower classic headshape is confidence-inspiring and has aided in slowly restoring my stroke memory.
