Ferrer will win, no doubts about it.

The question is: will Almagro choke against Nadal as usual?

If Nadal gets to Ferrer (the final) he's winning.

I'm not guaranteeing Nadal winning THIS time, with his knees, and he's not 100%.

If Ferrer can't win this match Sunday though, he'll never beat him again. This is his Almagro at AO moment.

Yeah I could see Ferrer beating Rafa, but it will be an interesting match if they both reach the final.

Default Nadal - Alund

For those not watching Nadal and Alund is playing right now. Nadal from the get go looks _much_ better than he did in Sao Paulo. With that being said, there doesn't seem to be any holes on the court you can twist your ankles in and lines falling off.

Rafa is hitting with great depth and pace off both wings and seems to be moving much better. Not allowing Alund to do anything here.

Nads leads 4-0 and is about to break to 5-0

Rafa bagels Alund 6-0 first set. The guy who took a set off him less than two weeks ago in Sao Paulo. Rafa's forehand looks very good. Has been hitting it very aggressively.

Rafa keeps hitting huge forehand winners and is not really making any unforced errors in doing so. He's in a good rhythm.

Nads up a break 2-1 in the 2nd.

...And just when I was complimenting Rafa on his forehand he misses two in a row to set up a triple BP for Alund

Alund has amassed 2 games in this 2nd set so far. He needs to get his first serve in as Nadal is winning 81% of his 2nd serves.

4-2 Nad

Alund staying more with Rafa in the rallies now. Absorbing his pace and hitting some beautiful winners.

I REALLY Wish that there was a live stream of the Robredo/Almagro match right now. What a show of 2 awesome one handed backhands.

Nadal wins 6-0 6-4.

A very solid performance by Rafa, who must have hit +25 winners. First set was outstanding. In the 2nd Alund did better to stay with Nadal. Rafa's movement looked much better, his shots were more penetrative, his return game was better (I put that down to the surface being slower) and serve was decent. There were only small lapses of lack of concentration, like a couple of volleys that he missed.

Overall though, a very encouraging performance by the Spaniard and I'd be very surprised if he wasn't to be found in the final on Sunday.
