As in... it's cracked in the upper loop? PC600, like all Prestige Mids are known to be "soft" and can get squished when stringing if not mounted properly...

If its cracked, then it's no good.

oh, it's seriously broken, I just wondered if anyone know of a business that repairs the things

There used to be such a thing back in the late eighties, but I don't know if they survived..

Please post pics of the repair.
I did not look into that repair website but hopefully they posted example fixes and repairs. A modern hard carbon thin walled graphite racket would require a different repair than an old school graphite. The feel, weight, and flex will surely be altered !

This.

Maybe the racquet will look good when it has been repaired, but it will never feel like it did before.

If i read it correctly, they'll make a mold of the piece that's broken and make a new section from that. They'll cut out the broken part and "glue" the new part in its place.

$2.99 for the racquet
$59.00 for repair
=$61.99 without postage to England

Does that still look like a good deal?

Spent a few bucks more and find a good one on the bay...

Play with it while it lasts and then hang it on the wall as a momento of the good old times when rackets were high precision tools, not flashy accessories

well, I had a look on the bay, no change out of $150.00 fro most, although there are a few dreamers asking >$300.00

there seems to be a place in Adelaide that does it, I have spoken to a guy who had his pro staff repaired and he's happy with it, I am going to have a hit with it tonight.

that's only an hour or so away by plane, so that might end up being cheap.

I just couldn't resist the thing at 2.99, now I don't know what to do with it, humour me!

Well, the pallets, buttcap, leather grip (maybe) are worth more than $2.99, so it is still a good buy I suppose.

I can't imagine that any repair would be worth doing. But then again I have no idea what I'm talking about. And how do your 7's feel about all this anyway?

lol, oh, this is just a toy type thing, I wouldn't play a match with it under any circumstances, too club like for me.

I have a few old beasts like this I like to take out and have the odd hit with, just for fun.

if you are happy hiting flat and heavy, these things are fantastic!

I've done this many times unfortunately, seen the ".com" and assumed it is the US!
