Default am I in trouble?

Strung my 1st racket with my klippermate yesterday and followed their instructions regarding where to tie the mains and start the crosses. Racket in question is an organix x10325. Mains to be tied at 7t and crosses started at 8t. However I've since discovered conflicting info that states mains should be tied at 6t and crosses started at 7t. Sure enough my other racket that was strung in a shop is done this way. Anyone know which is correct, and will it make any difference?Tried the Volkl website but can't find any info.

Call a HazMat team and evacuate your house immediately! Kidding aside, I'm sure it will play just fine.

It depends on how the racket is strung one piece or two piece as to where I would tie off the mains. For two piece I would tie the mains at 7H (or 7T if you're talking top and bottom.) For one piece I would tie the mains at 6H. No matter where you tie the mains the top cross is at 8H.

Both 7H and 6H are tie off grommet holes. So I guess technically Klippermate is correct.

Thanks Irvin, I used the two piece method.

Then I would tie the mains at 7H. It is closer to last main and will give you less drawback, but it is harder to get the string in. Then use 6H for the cross tie off especially when using s starting knot as it will give you more racket supporting the string on the outside of the frame.

Mains skip 8H and 8B and tie at 7H. Tie mains at first available main which is 7H. Crosses tie at 6H and 1st cross is 8H. Bottom cross ties at 11B.

In below T = TOP/Head and B=BOTTOM/Throat

Racquet Name Tension Length Pattern Skip M Tie Off M Start C Tie Off C
ORGANIX 10 295 50 - 60 20'M - 19'C 16M X 19C 8T - 8B 7T 8T 6T - 11B
ORGANIX 10 325 50 - 60 20'M - 19'C 16M X 19C 8T - 8B 7T 8T 6T - 11B
