what does 2hbh feel like?

the left handed forehand with right hand taking a ride - this doesn't work for me.

from the power position, i feel both hands are pulling equally.

what should it feel like? throwing a medicine ball? pouring out a bucket of water?

I tried these and seems they work quite well.

I suspect that I swing a bat better lefty than I do righty (and I'm a right hander). Same with golf at the driving range (although I don't really ever play/practice golf, I swing much more naturally lefty; righty feels impossible to me). This is 100% due to hitting 2HBHs a lot.

I think the feel is somewhat different for players. I think there are several ways to hit a high caliber 2hbh.

Having said that, I do think there has to be a looseness in the wrist somewhere. Just like the fh, the kinetic chain has to have a place to store and release all of the energy stored up from the hips, legs, and torso. If your grip is too tight, which is really easy to do with a 2hbh, you're throwing away power.

Personally I go with the left handed fh idea. For years I tried to think of my 2hbh as more right hand dominated, but the results were inconsistent. When I think of it as a left handed fh, I really try to feel the weight of the racquet in my left hand as I set up with the racquet. I almost completely let go with my right hand. This gives me that looseness in the wrist that I spoke of above. Then, as I turn my hips and shoulders into the shot, my right hand tightens up a bit on the grip and helps the racquet whip through the contact zone. If I didn't use my right hand at all the shot would be weak because it would be all left hand, but if I tighten up my right hand too soon the shot does not reach it's maximum power because the racquet has no whip. It can work OK with too much right hand, but I can't get enough spin and pace on the shot to keep me in rallies with better opponents.

Agassi has said that he keeps the left hand loose, not the right. Nevertheless I think the basic idea is the same. Look at how he sets up, the hips and shoulders rotate, and then the racquet whips through. If you don't have some that happening then you're not getting the most out of your 2hbh.
