Dozen of new strings out there to try out, to test to write review, but who is actually been playing with the same string for let's say more than a year without needing to test others?
I'm not there yet......but I personally narrowed it down BHS/ BHSR, Tour bite and typhoon....all similar. |

I typically use a reel of string until I'm out, and then might try a set or two of something else, and if I don't like anything better, I'll stick with what I had before. I've been hitting with tour bite for the past 4 months. The only reason I would consider switching away from this string is only because I break fully poly quickly, and $155 is expensive for a reel when a $70 reel would do the same for me.

i've been using Lux Rough for about 3 years now, but ever since I tried RPM a few months ago, it's been my main string.

I wish I could stick with the same strings but unfortunately the string manufacturers come out with strings about every month, which posters rant about how awesome they are, then someone comes in and starts bashing it and saying that this newer string is better and cheaper, its a vicious cycle.
Pro Supex Big Ace 17g red has always been my go to setup when I'm not into experimenting new strings. |

I've been playing with Babolat VS Team 17 for a couple of years now and I've only tested one hybrid setup with Luxilon and a Wilson NXT Max that came with a frame...I keep buying polies and then passing them away to my friends, after not using them.

Scorpion/Nvy here for about a year coming up this May (Nvy is new, but the poly is the same).

Once I use up my reels of Cyber Flash 16 and Prince Lightning (a good set-up I've used for a year....but I do try whatever strings I come across in trades in such), I keep telling myself that I am just going to play with natural gut from here on out. Sometimes the simplest answer is the best answer.

I rotate between Prince Premier attack 16 and Head RIP Control 17. But it's either one of those in my Volkl Organix V1 MP.

I'm on my 2nd reel of BHBR 17.
I ordered a reel of polylon 17g inbetween because it was just so darn cheap but it was just to stiff and I didnt like the feel of it. I played fine with it but I prefer the BHBR. I actually gave over half the reel of the polylon to a local junior who needed to borrow some strings. It just wasn't for me.

Usually VS Touch mains and Beast XP 16 crosses.
I try new strings but keep coming back to this combo. |

Natural Gut mains/MSV Co-Focus 1.18, 55/51 strung.
I'd rather work on my game then to fuzz around with strings, and I don't see a need to change.

I have more or less settled on BHB7 17, but I do try various hybrids with it, and have recently tried full bed multi (MCS 17) and a full bed syngut (OGSM 17) due to some elbow issues. I didn't like the feel (or lack thereof) of the MCS, and had poor results using full bed OGSM (after getting to 3-3 against I guy I usually smoke, I switched racquets to a full bed BHB7, and won the next 7 games). So, I'm back to BHB7. But, I may have to try gut soon if my elbow gets any worse.

I've been using Klipper Pearl Zone 17 for the over a decade, with other strings mixed in here and there. Both in full bed and hybrid setups.

Ektelon Power Play (once known as Prince Synthetic Gut Soft) since about 2002. It's good stuff, an inexpensive soft string.
