I still don't know why the older generations of Tour 90 were called "6.1/Six.One" when they were all clearly descendants of the Pro Staff 6.0 line.

You are spot-on except for this. the 100L is a new frame... Juice 100 regular still exists as well.

Interesting, thanks OP for the info. It seems a subtle change in the paint, but I like it.

If you check Wilson's page, the link still points to the old racquet name (and the page is blank):
http://www.wilson.com/en-us/tennis/r...aff-sixone-90/

I had to Google to find the updated page:
http://www.wilson.com/en-us/tennis/r.../pro-staff-90/

And you guys are right: I never understood why Wilson started labeling this as 6.1. This was never the same line as the 6.1 classic. Didn't the 6.0/6.1 numbers correlate to Wilson's stiffness rating? My memory fails me here...

No, they were not stiffness ratings. They were "Swing Index" ratings. That's why on some versions of the PS 6.0 85, it says "ProStaff 6.0si". "si" = swing index.

Ahh that's right, thanks for clearing that up!

Hmm then I wonder if I should try to get the US version now in case they change/unify the weight/swingweight with the EU version...

No, they are the same specs. You're just quoting the strung weight and balance for the US version and the unstrung weight and balance for the European version.
