Bruguera Tennis Academy
I'm looking into visiting Spain next year, and am going with some of my family as well. In particular, one is a 15 year old boy that wants to try a summer camp over in Europe as well. He's very interested in the Bruguera Tennis Academy, since from the reviews we've seen Sanchez-Casal isn't the greatest.
I'm 23 years old. Since he's interested in Bruguera, I'd like to do a summer camp there as well. Unfortunately, I've heard that there are age restrictions on the camp -it's just for young players. I couldn't find anything on the site though. We're just looking for good instruction and teaching, it doesn't matter if it's intense or maybe the food isn't good. In any case, some questions: -Has anyone been to Bruguera before? (doesn't matter if you're a junior or adult, please post your opinion) -How is the instruction? -I've heard that many Spanish academies just focus on groundstrokes. Both my cousin and I play at the net, he's a big all courter while I lean towards serving and volleying (my groundstrokes suck). Does Bruguera help a lot with volleying? -Does an adult program exist? -How small were the groups? And basically anything else you know about Bruguera Tennis Academy. Thanks! |

Err...I'll be turning 24 before we go. LOL. I guess it can't be helped. I heard in the other thread that your son went to Sanchez-Casal, it didn't sound too great. While you were there, did you hear anything big about the junior program at Bruguera? |

No, sorry no added info on Bruguera.
You might want to contact Bruguera. For a summer program they might make an exception for you. |

Tennis training in Paraguay
I haven't been to the Brugera Academy, I heard good things, I have two courts in Paraguay one red clay, one hard. Looking for great coaching, good weather you will find it here. be in touch...

cbj, while I don't think we'll be able to go to Paraguay anytime soon, I've always wanted to go to South America and stop by there. Would you know and recommend any tennis camps/academies there? I'm emailing Bruguera right now for more info. Thanks again, everyone. |
