How much string does one racquet need

On average how much? I've seen these sold on tennis warehouse:

It says it comes with 38 feet. I'm not a stringer and i have no clue whether that would be enough to string an entire racquet.

38' is plenty. I usually pull 32' for my midplus and have some to spare. I have never not had enough in an individual set either.

it depends on the racquet you're stringing. 38" is usually enough to do most racquets, but may be tight if you're stringing an oversize/super oversize racquet, especially if it has a dense string pattern.

yep, the above responses basically sum it up. It really depends on the racquet, though. An oversize Ti. Radical would give one problems if they're stringing a 2 piece, for instance (which requires slightly more string than a one piece).

33' is typically enough for most of the midplus not-too-dense string patterns that find their way into my stringing bin.

I've strung anywhere from 30' to 36' in the last few weeks. It's rare that i need more than that. Then again, i string a college team and i don't see too many snowshoe racquets in my box.

So for POG MP i need even less?It has 14*18 pattern.

As related by others here, 38' is plenty for most racquets. To be absolutely sure, go to your racquet mfr website and check the specs on your racquet. It'll tell you how much string you need for mains and crosses.

feet, not inches

But yeah, it depends on your machine. There are types with rotary grippers that need a bit more (especially with 2 piece patterns)

If you have a linear gripper you can probably get away with 30 feet on that frame. 35 feet is more than plenty for that racquet on just about any machine.
