I feel bad for Guga. Federer is going to demolish him in 3 sets.
perhaps 2,3,1 |

He'll need to leave whatever place he was at when playing Kiefer to hit that scoreline. Double figure double faults in the match and a lot of careless unforced errors off the forehand. Almost seemed to be trying out smack Kiefer last night, which didn't suit at all. From the commentary I gather Fed had as big a problem with Kiefer in his Junior days as he did with Nalbandian - so perhaps he was trying to prove a point. But he only just took the third set with some icy cool in his last two service games and then in the tie-break.

Hope I wake up this morning and it's on. Maybe they'll play it tomorrow night too. But I'm saying Fed wins 6-3 7-6 6-2. Sorry Guga, I love you man, but you are in the way of a guy that I like a little more.

Well, hold your horses guys, this is perhaps the last Roland Garros Guga is playing and he will leave his heart in Paris but will try to beat Fed. Plus, i don't think Fed is confident enough to demolish him easily and the longer it takes, the better it will be for Guga.
Guga, I believe in you |

Problem is, 'Guga' hasn't believed in himself for a while.
Really a pity, because he was pretty much the most passionate player in the game - the guy who genuinely loved the game the most. But with the injury came a frustration, and the loss of the passion. He hasn't seemed to enjoy the game for a couple of years now. |

Guga won a few days ago in 3 easy sets. Federer didn't exactly beat a clay court master in Kiefer. I think Fed will pull it off, but I also think/hope it will be a dogfight. Fed in 4 close sets.

But... will we (in the US) even see it? Or will it be another all-Williams smorgasbord tomorrow?!
Guga in 5. Accdg to rolandgarros website, Guga has been looking like his old self again. |
