Get some pasqualina. Not totally sure of the spelling. My wife is from Uruguay and makes some mighty fine food. If not for tennis, I just might get fat.

Alfajores are awesome
you can make them anywhere.
two round biscuits with manjar* in between and deeped in melted chocolate. then just put them in the fridge for awhile and they'll be ready.

*manjar: boiled condensed milk.

Manjar? I thought it was called dulce de leche? My mother in law boils cans of condense milk to make dulce de leche. I love Argentine food. Next year my wife and I will be going Argentina to visit her relatives. I can't wait!!!

I recently had my first dining experience at an Argentinian restaraunt. When we walked in the Matre-de said, when you eat here, its all about the beef. And it was! some of the best steak I have had. Will return once my cholesterol level goes down.
