That's not the point, Ignatz. You were called on your BIGOTED comment: calling someone a venereal-diseased, CATHOLIC, prostitute and then "patting yourself on the back" by calling it "funny??"

THAT was what he called you on Sparky. You went way overboard, little boy, and you were called to account for that remark. Your answer: You thought "it was funny." Now: YOU make a pejorative, vulger remark that insults a religious denomination--and YOU "find that funny??" Who's the psycho, psycho?

You stupidly (and mistakenly) have opened up a nasty can of worms as far as I'm concerned, little man; and from here on out, I'm all over you like white on rice, you sneering, arrogant little bigot.
Simpleton? Psycho?.....pithy retort, sport. Try again, Ignatz. What else do you want to say about other religions while you're at it? Well?......

I bought your mom a new 4-piece bedroom set:
THREE BEDS AND A CASH REGISTER. Now: do you "find that funny" Ignatz?

Might as well: Christianity is dumb, Judaism is dumb, Islam is dumb, Hinduism is dumb, Buddhism is dumb, Shinto is dumb, every Religion is dumb, religion is nothing more than a moral guidline and something to make death easier; promising you eternal life if you die, i don't follow to a dumb book

A bigot huh? OK. I hate african, american, english, french, russian, chinese, korean, japanese, irish, mexican, i hate all races. Democrats, republicans, communists, i hate 'em too. I hate everything and everybody!

Spoken like a true dolt who doesn't know any better. Anyway, you said "i (sic) don't follow to (sic) a dumb book", and yet you read nothing but Batman comics...hmmm...that seems to speak for itself.

Satanists do work on themselves aye. Can't blame them. They can get no one else to do it I guess.

I could say that the non religious are dumb and more to the point, narcisistic. You hate religion because you are afraid of moral obligations. I find as I get older that the old adage, "nothing new under the sun" proves itself over and over and over and over again.

Religion made me a better person. Now i've abandoned it as I've grown older and wiser, now understanding what it was created for and how it still manages to win people over today. Its fully understandable.

But I feel sorry for those who spend lifetimes in religion. Its great to learn lessons regarding morality....but once you've acquired this....leave it alone and go study physics.

I would never go back and not spend my youth at a local baptist church growing up in the youth group. Those were some of the best times.

Just remember, it all started when man's brain became powerful enough to start "imagination", which led to "hmmm, hey pete, you think there is a guy behind the curtain who makes that big giant yellow ball in the sky come up in the east everyday?" ..."yeah, wow, I never thought about it like that before, good thinking" (20,000 BC).

Listen, Docalex, I understand that and actually agree with it, but, there is no justification for bigotry on the basis of religion (or color, or country, etc.)not on this board, at least. This should not turn into another discussion on the merits or value of religion per se...

Like I said... train wreck waiting to happen. I don't think I could handle yet another discussion on religion (because that would be the third time this year...).

Yeah, you guys are right. Lets take a break from these discussions.

Noelle, I have your AIM screen name but never see you on. Do you still use that name? Or maybe I'm just not on enough.

Once upon a time, there was this uncommonly smart hayseed from Nowheresville, Appalachia whose initiative and drive spurred him to seek a not-so-provincial life away from "the farm" as was the case with so many previous generations in his family, i.e. the "family tree" resembled a telephone pole, figuratively speaking.

So he applied for a test with the Secret Service and passed the written part of the exam with flying colors. From there, he took the oral examination which included a series of questions designed to determine if a candidate could quickly "think on his/her feet" in the event of a sudden emergency. He answered all of them correctly in a snap.

The test-givers posed the following FINAL question to him:

"Mr. Jones, let's say a NORTHBOUND train is heading 80 miles-an-hour around a blind curve and on the same track rail there's a SOUTHBOUND train traveling 70 miles-per-hour and the two trains are only a mile and a half apart--what would you do, Mr. Jones?!"

"Why I'd go get me my brother, Gomer!"

"Mr. Jones, why would you go get your brother Gomer at a time like that?!"

"Cause he done never seen a train wreck before!"
