It's Nikolay Davydenko. He's not just some guy; he made the FO semifinal last year playing through several 5-set matches. He also qualified for TMC without having to rely on other players' withdrawals, I think.

lol I love your reason for editing your first post

Federer should take this one pretty easily. I'd be very surprised if he dropped a set.

Davydenko is quality, but I don't think he has enough to challenge the Federer.

Nikolay Davydenko also was in "Wimbledon".

Just kidding, but the lead actor Paul Bettany has the same look about him.

LOL rilo. I guess you're viewing our Star Sports feed, and Alan Wilkins and Veejay Amritraj were talking about that.

Anyway, Federer now up 1-0, Davydenko to serve.

Somehow the noob somehow held his own serve I predict this is going to be a very easy match for Federer. I mean, very easy.

Star Sports has a definite contract for the AO. With the rest of the tournaments, though, it's a bit iffy. Last year they covered AO and Wimbledon, but the FO and US Opens weren't covered by ESPN (Star Sports's parent company, I think) so they didn't cover those either. Negotiations for Wimbledon coverage haven't concluded yet because they don't list Wimbledon 2006 in the list of tennis programs on their official website.

Ah. Exactly the sentiment during the Fed v. Haas match.

Look what happened! Oy vey!

It's like a mini-apocalypse! You skipped class, Fed said the four-letter word, Haas accused Courier of youknowwhat.

Davydenko is holding his own. I'm predicting Federer will step it up in the next game or so, though, to secure the break for the set. After all, one break is all he needs to get the set.

Well, what do you know, I was correct in my prediction. Davydenko immediately broke back though.

Federer broke Davydenko at love to get the set.

Harharhar. Anyway, Davydenko had a break point on Federer's serve, but it's now at deuce.

Federer bricked a few of his net points earlier in the set, I think.
